Floyd Mayweather jr vs. Miguel Cotto Tickets

As soon as the Mayweather Jr. vs. Cotto fight was officially announced, it was unbelievably tempting for me to jump on my computer and pound the keys on my keyboard until my frustrations, surprise and peace were typed out in a form of a news article. Nevertheless, I decided to wait, as by the time I got the news, there were already dozens of pieces written on this very topic. So, what happened? As many boxing fans have predicted, the Manny Pacquiao fight never materialized. During the very short period of time when their fight finally seemed plausible, pages after pages were written blaming both sides for any and all reasons imaginable. Now that this drama is behind us, again, for an unidentified reason, let’s focus on what reality has now delivered.

While team Pacquiao has yet to pick and announce an opponent, team Mayweather has already done so, and as we all know, Floyd’s opponent on May 5 will be Miguel Cotto (37-2-0). Sure it’s not Pacquiao, but Cotto is not the kind of fighter who is easy to write off in any fight.

I believe that this bout could turn out to be very entertaining, and on evenly matched for both fighters, until Round 6 or so. Cotto is a great starter, with a tremendous heart and spirit. He comes to perform and give it all no matter what the resistance brings to the table.

It is entirely possible that the first few rounds of their clash will resemble the action of the first two rounds of Mayweather Jr. vs. Mosley bout. What I am trying to say, is that Mayweather Jr. should be cautious, and not try to display and impress with his brawling ability. Cotto packs a decent punch and is well skilled at chasing his target.

2012 FA Cup: Tottenham Hotspur v Stevenage

Tonight sees the second potential upset involving a London club as Tottenham host minnows Stevenage following an unimpressive 0-0 draw in the first leg. Chelsea avoided embarassment last night with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Birmingham and Harry Redknapp will be hoping his side illustrate the same professionalism and composure over their League 1 opponents. The home side are 1/5 favourites (bet £5 get £6 back) with Ladbrokes whereas Stevenage are long at 16/1 with bet365. A draw after 90 minutes is priced up at 11/2 with BETFRED.

 Match Schedule>>>
 Tottenham Hotspur v Stevenage
2012 FA Cup
19.30 GMT

Harry Redknapp has not had a moments peace in the last couple of weeks. First of all he had to defend some of his actions in court and eventually was found not guilty. Then, with the demise of the Capello era of English football, he now seems to be everyone's favourite to take over the role. He's english, a fantastic manager and definitely won't put up with any rubbish from an England side of playboys and hooligans. For now, however, he has a loyalty to Tottenham to uphold and he will want to make sure all the speculation reagrding the international managerial position is not too distracting. He does have duties to attend to first and the FA Cup is a very winnable tournament for his strong squad. The team tonight may be shaken up somewhat from the side that lost to Manchester United; Gareth Bale returns from injury and William Gallas should also be available. On the other hand Ledley King will be rested, Tom Huddlestone is ruled out with an ankle injury and maestro Rafael Van der Vaart is doubtful.

The FA Cup is a fantastic tournament because of the opportunities such as this one. Stevenage can now travel to the atmospheric stadium that is White Hart Lane and play without any expectations. No doubt manager Gary Smith will be looking to spring a tactical surpise or two as his side are now the only League 1 team left in the tournament. They will need to recreate some of the enthusiasm and determination which earnt them a draw at the Lanex Stadium in February.
Tottenham have been prolific going forward all season and thus the Over/Under market is of particular interest. Stevenage have an incredible defensive record in this tournament as they have not yet conceded however bookies are predicitng this statistic to change come tonight. One can back over 2 goals at 3/20 and under 2 goals at 9/2, both with bet365. Going to more extreme betting, if the Stevenage floodgates are to open then punters may be tempted by odds of 4/1 for over 4.5 goals to be scored BETVICTOR. In the half-time/full-time market a Spurs/Spurs result is the favourite at 4/9 with Ladbrokes. The least likely result is Spurs/Stevenage which would reward brave punters kindly with odds of 150/1 with Paddy Power.

Chiefs vs Blues Super Rugby 02-03-12

SuperRugby is the only tournament in the world that is played across so many different time zones which makes listing the kick off times extremely difficult. In addition to this Australia and New Zealand participate in Daylight savings and South Africa does not. Queensland in Australia also has different Daylight savings schedules to New South Wales and Perth is on a different time zone to Sydney. The Australian Times listed are Canberra as it is Australia's captital city. The Chiefs and the Blues start the Super Rugby action on Friday when they meet each other in Hamilton for the first of seven Super Rugby matches this weekend.

Match Schedule
Chiefs vs Blues Super Rugby
Hamilton
19:35 local, 06:35 GMT, 12:35 BDT

The Chiefs were hit fairly hard last week with injuries but have still managed to name a fairly strong team for the Blues.
The Chiefs and the Blues have played each other 17 times in Super Rugby and the Blues have won ten times. There have been no draws so the Chiefs have a 41% chance of beating the Blues going on past history.
The two teams have played each other 8 times in Hamilton which is a relatively happy hunting ground for the Blues as they have won 5 of the 8 matches. During the 2009 season in Hamilton the Chiefs hammered the Blues 63-34 which has distorted the average scores between the teams a bit.

The average score when the Chiefs play the Blues is Chiefs 25 Blues 24 and when they play in Hamilton the average score is Chiefs 25 Blues 22. As mentioned before the 2009 result will bring the Chiefs average up somewhat.
In Hamilton the Chiefs and Blues have alternated victories year by year since 1999 and this year the Chiefs are due a win to maintain that record.
